Everybody was moved by the heartbreaking pictures on our television sets showing the plight of the animals due to the bush fires. As well as the physical injuries, the destruction of their food sources is a long term difficulty. We collected for a couple of weeks and Eileen reports that well over $500 was sent to the World Wildlife Fund in Australia. A copy of their newsletter arrived by email, and we join a host of others who have made it porrible for the WWF to distribute over AUD$2 million to emergency wildlife response across 27 partners. Fascinating to learn that there are a pair of dogs who search the fire ravaged area and have to date found 10 surviving animals.

Thanks to everyone who contributed.
