Are you considering visiting church, but either haven't been for a while or have never been and are worrying about what to do? Hopefully, I can answer some of your questions here.
To start... the parking lot is to the south of the church buildings and is clearly signposted. Nobody has assigned spots, park wherever you like.
What to wear? The days when I was forced into a hat and gloves for church are long, long gone. Come as you are. Some parishioners dress up, others come in jeans and tee shirt. Wear whatever makes you feel good. This includes wearing a mask if you are more comfortable with one. Forgot yours? We have lots!
Where to sit. You may have heard to old Anglican joke. Come early and get a seat at the back...Nobody has assigned seats. Just be comfortable.
We are a liturgical church--that is, we follow a set service from the Book of Alternative Services. But don't worry--all the service and hymns are on a powerpoint screen. You won't get lost!
There is a Sunday School, so if you have children, they will have their own time in the parish hall, joining the congregation at Communion time. You are welcome to attend with them until they are comfortable with the other children.
Yes, we do take up a collection--you can donate or not as you choose. No pressure!
Hope this answers any questions you might have. We look forward to welcoming you to the service and to the lunch afterwards.
